Hours of Operation

OFFICE HOURS: The addition of Melanie our receptionist has significantly improved our availability by telephone and she is in the office Monday to Friday 9am-3pm. If you receive an answering machine she is either on the phone with a client, or has stepped away for a moment and will return your call promptly. This office is not a veterinary facility and no appointments are performed here.

APPOINTMENT HOURS: The Mobile Unit operates on the road 4-5 days a week depending on season. Typical ‘appointment hours’ are: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 10am-5pm. Tuesday 12-7pm. During our busy Spring time extra hours will be added as available and necessary.

EMERGENCY SERVICE: If you have a medical emergency during normal working hours please call us first, we may be able to help you over the phone, depending on our appointment schedule and the problem at hand. However due to the geographic nature of our service we may not be able to reach you in a timely manner. In this situation we will direct you to the nearest full service Veterinary Hospital.

EVENINGS, WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS: Our voice messaging system will allow you to leave a message in the case of emergency. These messages are checked regularly on weekends and holidays. If Dr. Benedetti is available she will provide consultation over the phone, and will do her best to accommodate you. However, for life threatening emergencies, or if we are not available you will be directed to the Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic located at 130 Bell Farm Road in Barrie. Their phone number is 705-722-0377. They are a fully staffed, full service Emergency Veterinary Clinic that is equipped to handle all types of emergency. Please call first to alert them to your problem and estimated time of arrival.
