Staff

My name is Melanie Linkletter and I am the receptionist here at Georgian Bay Mobile Veterinary Service. I have been working in veterinary clinics for about eight years now. Prior to that I worked at a dog training academy and kennel and I also co-owned an in home dog training business. At home I have a menagerie that my husband Roger and I lovingly refer to as “wild kingdom” Our household includes Roger, myself and our 8 year old daughter Emily in the two legged category. As for the four leggeds we have three cats- Daffodyl, Victor, and Sydney and two dogs Carter (aka Wildman) our Springer Spaniel and Lita (aka Moose) our Great Dane. When I am not in the office at Georgian Bay Mobile I can usually be found at the dog park, out training a dog somewhere or spending time enjoying my family. I am also a bit of a movie buff in the winter months and love to read whenever I can make the time.

Heather Larmand
Hi, I’m Heather Larmand and I love my job as Office manager! I joined the team in January 2008 on a part time basis. I am married to Mark Larmand and we have two beautiful girls, Madison and Sarah. I am the crazy owner of 5 animals. Lexie, Rusty and Zoey (K9s) and Red and Angel are the felines. I started volunteering over 10 years ago at the OSPCA and a veterinary clinic. I was then fortunate to work for the OSPCA for over 4 years. I now enjoy time between this job, driving a school bus and being a busy mom. I volunteer at the girls’ school and have many interests. I love camping (all seasons), canoeing, hiking and playing ball hockey and baseball. Reading is my favorite down time thing to do.

Tiffany Marchildon
Tiffany has been our summer student over the last 5 years, and has finally graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College. Tiffany started with me just before she was accepted into veterinary school, and I have watched her learn and grow through the years. She grew up in the Penetanguishene area with her family and Lily the cat. She enjoys traveling and playing volleyball, among many other things I am sure. She is now a licensed veterinarian and has joined the GBMVS team in that capacity.

Tanya Papaleo
Hello, I’m Tanya! You all know me best as Dr. Leann’s Tech/Assistant. I spent 3 years at Georgian collage before moving to the big city of Mississauga to gain some experience in the animal world. After about 2 years there, I finally decided I had had enough of the ‘Big City’, being the country pumpkin that I am, and applied for a job with Dr. Leann. In Aug.2007 I started working for GBMVS. I currently live with husband, Tyler, in Barrie. We share our home with our 3 loveable little 4 legged fury friends. “Ben” who is a 5 year old Staffordshire Terrier Lab mix, “Sonny” who is a 2 year old very controlling indoor/outdoor orange tabby cat, and “Manny” the very shy 1 year old grey and white tabby cat. Tanya is no longer with GBMVS as her "Miltary Family" has been relocated at this time. She is happy to announce the arrival of her happy healthy baby girl.
